Over the past few weeks, we have been in discussions with Manchester City Council as part of our Short Breaks Co-production Pathway work. In true spirit of co-production, the city council is inviting MPCF members and Manchester Parent Champions to a Short Breaks-themed listening session on Wednesday, 31 October, at MCC’s Westwood Street Offices in Moss Side. This would allow them to hear the stories and experiences that families are having about Short Breaks services in Manchester.

If you are receiving Short Breaks for your child or young person with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), we encourage you to attend this informal meeting and share stories with fellow parent-carers in Manchester. Lunch and transportation will be provided but booking is essential so please contact Mona Bhabuta or Maria Simpkin of the Manchester City Council if you intend to come.
